Jennifer is passionate about the environment, health and creativity.  Her own health challenges have led her to value the relationship between the environment (natural and built) and human health as well as the impact of creativity on health. Through the challenges of living with an Autoimmune Disease (Sjogrens) and as a cancer survivor, she has experienced the benefits of healthy environments and creativity on her physical and mental wellbeing.

 

Through her work as a Land Use Planner and as a LEED Green Associate, she strives to bring a consciousness of health and sustainability to the built environment while keeping the health of the planet in mind. As the founder and owner of Generate LLC, she strives to inspire creativity in others. A division of Generate, called Uplift, creates personalized grab-bag style gift baskets for cancer patients focused on inspiring a positive outlook.

 

As a cancer survivor, Jennifer has experienced the shortcomings of survivor support services and knows there is a need for the Sunrise Daisy Retreat. Understandably, there is a focus on the physical health of cancer patients; however, the support of cancer survivor’s mental health is greatly overlooked and is an integral part of their long-term wellness. Jennifer whole-heartedly believes in the Sunrise Daisy Retreats mission and feels blessed for the opportunity to lend her time, knowledge and energy to help bring it to fruition.
